Is the aeromotive eliminator pump loud with anyone else?

I thought the pump would be a quiet buzzing sound, but instead I hear a loud Grinding- buzzing noise from it. It pumping gas...just wasn't sure how loud this pump is suppose to be.

Any ideas? When I start my car, you really can't hear it due to my car being loud.

I don't hear mine. I hear the factory one more. At least that is what I think I'm hearing since I've always heard it especially after running hard at the track. The little aeromotive one is under my seat strapped to the frame rail and I can't hear a thing from it.

is yours the eliminator series? If not, it's probobly the small pump.. You wouldn't use the stock fuel pump in front of this eliminator pump because the stock pump would be restrictive to the aeromotive pump as far as flow goes.

Yes they are loud, but like you said you can't really hear it when the car is running. I mounted mine on rubber bushings to keep a little of the noise down.

So what would you use instead of the stock pump?

i've made brackets to the pump mouted on rubber then mouted the bracket to the frame with rubber also..it's alot quieter then...but they are a noisy pump....did you install the billet controller also??..it slows the pump down at idle and makes it less noisy also...Len

Hey Len,

Yes I installed the Billet pump module. I talked to you earlier today...I need a analog tach signal which I don't think the viper has at all...all I know is that it has the square wave signal.
