does any one know how to disarm the seatbelt and air bag idiot lights on a 2003. I have installed a momo steering wheel and milled up an adapter for the steering wheel. With the air bag removed the light is always on and a major curse at night as it is very bright. Same goes with the seat belt light as I installed a harness. To block out the passenger air bag light I put tape over the light behind the console.

I know you can turn off the seatbelt light. The process is in the factory owners manual.

I thought that only turned off the buzzer. I did it long ago to allow track use with 6 points. But the light remained on.

There is a sequence to turn off the buzzer, but I could find none to kill the light in either the owner's manual or the service manual.

The seatbelt system looks for an open latch and then a latched belt once the car is started. We tried to bypass the light and ding by closing the loop all the time and the light still came on, so you can't just leave an insert in the latch.

BILL M- That is because as strange as it sounds, the Seatbelt buckle is NORMALLY CLOSED, not normally open. All you have to do it unplug it to shut it up... do not close the circuit.

On a side note, if you did this in order to try and keep it quiet for someone who wont wear their seatbelt, the dealer can turn off that annoying Ding with a DRB.
