I have been doing searches over the past few days and cant find anything for my problem. My alarm, when on, will just go off for no reason! My wife and I were in Monterey CA. and in a hotel with the car where I could see it from our balcony and the alarm went off! So I go running down to the car in little more than my underware at 2:30 am ready to kill someone and nothing, nobody there. Thought maybe it was a fluke or something small hit it who knows. We got home put car in garage turned alarm on to make sure, and sure enough went off again by itself with no wind no nothing to touch it. Checked the battery, it was fine. Took it to Walmart, didnt get but 50 feet away from it and alarm started to go off again! Does it miss me, does it just want to be driven? I cant figure it out. I thought maybe someone here had gone through a similar experience and could shed some light on the subject for me! By the way it is a 96 rt.

figured it out by doing the self diagnostic by turning the key to accessory 3 times and the horn will sound at each destination. The hood pin was not up high enough and would connect and disconnect since it was just barely enough to close the circuit. Raised the hood pin and presto, works like a charm:headbang:

Good news and and idea is to take Chucks number and leave it in your glove box.;)
