Not true at all. Most dealers are charging around sticker. Indeed, with all due respect to those dealers that aren't, they should be. This model year is close to selling out entirely and the public is excited (not to mention a LOT of Viper owners). If people were willing to pay $10K over sticker for the PT Cruiser, VW Beetle, SRT8 (any flavor), etc., how can they be morons for spending $1 over on a car that is 100x more significant? Sorry dude, but I am going to have to call "" on this one.

Oh, and before you start quoting non-certified dealers (those that don't have a Viper tech) consider this: Dealerships have limited allocations for Vipers this time (no more "if we build them they will sell"). There are numerous dealerships that have little or no allocation, or who haven't had their Viper techs recently certified, that will gladly take your order for a great deal - you just won't get a car anytime soon. So put down your deposit and cross your fingers. When you see your buddy driving his '08 a year from now and you still don't have yours you may start to regret not being a "*****" like your friend.

With the sticker actually going DOWN for the 2008's and the horsepower going way up, now is the time to order yours - and be happy if you can get sticker.

I Totally agree. The 08's will sell out quickly. The price difference between the 08 and the discounted 06 will mean eventually the dealers will get decent money for the 06's. I Have ordered my 08 so I guess I will be one of the "Morons" who pays close to MSRP and I will be Thankful to get one.
