Any Legitimate Carbon Fiber Interior Vendors?

Now that I have a good upholstery shop working on my interior and my stereo & LEDs are done, I am looking to replace the dash, gauge bezel and shifter bezel of my SRT with either real carbon fiber parts or overlays. I am assuming solid CF parts will cost much more, but I am still surprised at how much the overlays cost. I am even more surprised by the fact that there does not seem to be a single vendor in this department of work that does not have some sort of negative stigma attached to them.

I also assume that although the gauge bezel and shifter bezel won't be too big of a deal to fabricate for a pro, the dash might pose a challenge. I want to have all three pieces done at once so that everything matches nicely and the finish and alignment are consistent. I would prefer to do this little project with an overlay, but vendor reliability and TRUE product value is what I am looking for (I am not trying to spend 1.5k on a wrap for these three parts, not including giving up my cores when I could have real carbon fiber pieces for 3k and sell my cores to offset cost)

Are there any legitimate vendors out there that can actually deliver? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Real CF requires molds which create high start up cost and not cost effective for limited number of cars like Vipers. CF wrap on complex parts is very labor intensive, thus the cost. Good luck finding someone wrapping these parts for less, especially if you want to wrap the speedo bezel. Doing this is a lot of work and requires great skill and patience. Not to slam you but you should really try to wrap a part in CF to realize how difficult this is. The only two vendors around here that do this are Vipair and APR, neither one is cheap but then again, you get what you pay for.

What about hydro dipping? Are you looking for a specific finish? I'd think a vinyl wrap and hydro-applied graphics would be pretty similar. The hydro method has got to be significantly easier than try to wrap them by hand. Not sure how consistent the pattern might be though.

Wow, someone was just looking a while ago for a blank radio trim. Interesting find. Unless my eyes deceive me, there is quite a bit of distortion in the weave though around a few areas, maybe it just looks this way in the pic...

I do too. Last time I asked them, they wanted about 1700 to do the set of three though, with the speedo bezel costing the most.

Unfortunately it does not even come close to real CF wrap, there is no depth to it and weave looks like it is painted on.

I agree with using APR - speak to Peter. I have a 2003. I had him do the Satin finish on the dashboard and console, but chose flat for the dash enclosure (in order to cut down on glare). It turned out great, and doesn't have the "stick-on" look. If you are interested, I can send you pictures and give you Peter's email/ phone number.

I had Double D mods do my custom double din bezel and matching console with hydro carbon. It is finished with a high gloss clear coat.

+1 on Double D mods. I had the radio bezel widened for a double din head unit and hydro dipped at a local shop. The dip is definitely not like the real CF but, it suits me fine. There are a couple of anomalies in the finish but, again, it only cost $300 for the shift bezel, radio bezel, interior door uppers and the trim pieces just inside the door sill.
