Anybody else get a brochure from Mopar to get Gen 1 and Gen 2 accessories now?

If you don't get 'em soon, such as car covers, Mopar RT/10 roof, etc, there won't be any more stuff around. They won't be making any new accessory parts from what I read in the brochure. Geez, it sure makes it look like Mopar really wants to support the "older generation" Vipers doesn't it? Really ticks me off because they still make lots of resto parts for the old Mopar cars and especially the engines, intakes, carbs, etc, etc. I know there are a lot more of the oldies out there, but come on Mopar, how about a little more support for the Viper! What about engine parts, tranny parts, body parts, etc for the Gen I and Gen II? I hope there are enough aftermarket parts around to keep our Vipers road worthy in a few more years.

I received a nice Mopar Parts letter. With the great 10% discount parts offer (off full DC List price), we can all stock up on crate motors, hoods and side sills.

This must be a welcome thing to read, if you just took delivery on a 2002 model.

What kind of cr*p is that! Who knows what parts could wear out and when. I guess they think we should all have a spare car in the barn or something. How will this affect any warranty work?? Maybe year-long waits on parts

I think I need to get into the scrapped Viper biz- should be a gold mine in a few years!

I also received the DC e-mail stating "we" should be buying parts for the future as they aren't going to be supporting the GenI&II's, they will be concentrating on the SRT's. I also just found out a particular part I need (Sport Cap) has been increased in price by over $200.00, recently.
Sure does look like the DC bean counters are gonna price gouge.

This is exactly what happened in the 80's, if you had a 60's or early 70's Mopar, all the parts dried up. I couldn't find anything for my '70 440 6-pac RT Charger (in 1980), now stuff is everywhere. It's very disturbing to realize I'm NOW going to go through this parts shortage AGAIN. I wonder how much this has to do with Dam'iler, since we know the germans hate the Viper anyway.

Hey DC you should be forced by the Feds to place warning labels on EVERY new SRT you sell "Buy at your on risk as this vehicle's parts availibility will be limited to 10 years or less".

Now I know why people buy Chevrolet. I really doubt that Viper parts will be recreated by guys like "Year One" due to the small number of Viper's produced.
