I've got one, and am going to have it installed in the next couple of weeks. Anyone who is using one-S/C'd or normally aspirated-I would love to hear from you on tips of installation/use, and how it has helped your car. Faster? Better mileage? More torque of less accelerator? Whatever. Thanks!

Just had Chuck and Rob put the Vec 3 on my car yesterday. I'm also having the Corsa Track added but it wasn't in yet.

I can say you definitely feel the HP and Torque, especially in 2nd gear and up.

I wouldn't know about the gas mileage yet.

Nice Pete. I went with the DC programming which was worth the price but if I decide to go Supercharger or other major mods, the Vec 3 probably is the way to go. I should of thought of that from the beginning. Oh well.

I saw your car at Chucks, looks GREAT! I didn't get to hear it though.

I had it sent to Chucks from Roe Racing and Rob put it in over an afternoon.

I can't wait for my Corsa!!

Hope to see (and hear) you out on the road.

-Pete

Pythonpete, if you don't mind, what is the going price for installation? I have mine in hand and know of two guys who could do the job, but I don't know what to offer them, or what is a fair price for installation. THANKS

I have the full Belanger exhaust w/ smooth tubes and the Vec 3. My hp increase w/out the Vec 3 was to be approx 35, and w/ the Vec 3 my hp increase is 70 (according to Chuch "The Best" Tator). My car is naturally aspirated for now, like many of you, I am waiting on the Roe GEn 3 charger. The combo Vec 3 and exhaust system mods make for a very noticeable improvement in sound, acceleration, and gas mileage. The car just pulls and pulls, and in 3rd and 4th gear she really gets fast! I would not let just anyone install the Vec 3 as the programming is rather complicated. Also, it may need to be tuned and adjusted, each Viper is a little different so its not just a plug in. I read Sean Roes software booklet that comes w/ it, IT IS VERY COMPLICATED and should be handled by a trained professional.

Sean prepared a stock card and a performance card with my mods considered: Bellanger full exhaust without crossover pipes, greens filters and otherwise stock. So the VEC3 should be ready to go with either card, according to Roe Racing. Am I missing something?

The guys at Roe racing and my Viper tech told me that b/c Vipers are handmade, each one is a little different. One Viper may get a 20 hp increase from the standard Vec 3 programming whereas another may pick up 40 hp; so each Viper has to be tuned after the VEC 3 install to make sure the Viper is operating in the sweetest part of the power curve based on the VEC 3's inputs. Things have to be adjusted. Not a feat for the amateur. I think if you just slap it on, stick in the card and go, its a crap shoot.
