I'm gonna say another thing about living in an HOA community: dont get stuck in a cul-de-sac with a neighbor who has six kids and four of them driving. Each with their own car, not including the two additional cars driven by the parents. And I never saw ONE of those cars ever parked in the garage.
Our neighborhood has an unofficial 9 o'clock rule - no loud noises (lawn mowers, etc.) before 9:00am or after 9:00pm. On the rare times when I would drive my Viper to work and left at 5:30am I would push it out of the garage with the engine off and coast 1/8 mile down a slight hill before starting the car. I never had any complaints from the neighbors but I didn't want to ruffle any feathers. I do the same with my motorcycle.
