Sometimes in life you are given an opportunity to make a friend and a friendship that comes unexpectedly. I had (hopefully still do) that with Adam Brennan, from years back when we both started as trend setting Paxton D-I-Y installations and we had to talk to each other in the beginning to figure out all the flakiness of the kit and try to get it to work.

Fast forward through the years, and you’ll see AB and me ragging each other on the forum, but in real life, he and I talked on the phone, he helped me get a lift for cheap, I helped answer technical questions about the vipers before he became an expert, and recently (if I can even call it recently), he gave me a set of wires to install on my 06 coupe because I answered a post of his where he asked if anyone wanted to try a set.

What I really feel bad about, is that I honestly did want to try a set, and certainly was interested in helping my friend get some good feedback from me after trying the wires. Well my mistake was, after I heard you had to take the intake off the car to install them, I thought I better not, and will wait until I hit the 30k mark or so before changing the spark plug wires. Or at least some other event that gave me time to take off the intake and do it correctly. Sadly, time passes, and AB who did nothing wrong but gave a friend a free set of wires, got irritated and understandably pissed that I never did it.

I even told him I would ship them back so someone else could have that opportunity, or pay him for them (his choice). He chose to have me send them back. Well, at this very time, is when I was actively flying around the country looking for my next career jump, and totally lost track of getting him those wires. I am now in California, but the wires are still in Chicago. So I feel I have let him down again, because I didn’t follow through with doing it.

So AB, if you could please accept my apology, I will try to get my girlfriend (who is still in Chicago) to not only send the wires back, but ALSO include a check for the cost of a new set of wires. Then you can send TWO sets out for new people to try and one is on you, and one is on me.

I really did want to install these AB, I just had ‘life’ happen in the interim. Hopefully, in the near future I can even place an order for a set and get them install. Matter of fact, Kurtis here in Cali is the local Free Viper ****** installer, and I might get his help with putting a set on.

You seriously have my apology. And I hope you can consider us friends again soon, but wont blame ya if you dont.

Jon

AB is a good guy and Ive heard many good stories about him. After seeing ILLSMOQ car with AB wires, I knew I had to get a set. The quality is very good. I ordered a set and the fit and finish is perfect, all the wires are numbered and the lenghths are perfect. They look like they belong on the car, they make the stock ones look cheap and well... stock. The heat shield boots work very well and Ive had many trouble free supercharged miles on the car and the wires still look like new.

On a side note, yes it ***** to install these. Its a pain the you have to remove the whole intake. Fortunately as Jon said, ILLSMOQ:mf: is the local installer and loves doing them just to help a friend out......

A lot of what I'm reading in these two post is either bs or fabricated....some of it even sounds like a fairy tale.

however the part about the wires being very nice is 100% correct.

While I could help to quickly derail this thread... its seriously legit.

I was reminded of this while talking to another friend of mine Final GTS, who told me how much he liked ABs wires, and then i was like "oh crap, I forgot all about those wires I was supposed to send back"

So no fabrication... and not looking to derail this thread.

Thanks!

Jon

Wow, I know this took a lot from you to write this and I accept your apology. YOU KEEP the wires and put them to good use. It's all water under the bridge and no hard feelings from me. We are still friends and congrats to the new Job. Send me your contact information to keep in touch. I really appreciate what you wrote. That was "big" of you even though I am still taller than you.

I say good on ya Jon. Adam seems like a great guy (he's taken great care of me from a business perspective), and doesn't seem like the kind of person to hold a grudge. Hate to see a friendship ruined over something that it sounds like you've tried to make right.

ETA: Beat by the man himself...looks like I was right though. :D

By the way Jon, the special pink wires you ordered from me, I wouldn't be able to resell them anyways so...when you are ready to put them on...let me know how they do. ViperSpecialty has the looms that will fit the wires on the SRT and the gaskets on the plenum are reusable also. Taking off the plenum knowing your skills shouldn't be no more than an hour or so max.

Much Appeciated AB. You're the Man I always knew you were (even if almost boy in size). Yeah those pink ones are going to look hot on the Viper.. I'm so excited !! :)

We'll do a write up as I promised, and honestly with Kurtis (Illsmoq) by my side, we'll get them done in no time. Sounds like he already did MikeR's so this should be old hat to him.

THANKS AB!!

I think if you two had consummated your homo-****** feelings for each other a long time ago, all would be well in the world.

Wow, it seems people like me being a **** !! Thanks for the reinforcement...

Cop Magnet - no one is going to be checking with you for relationship advice anytime soon. (unless they dont like living with women.. per your signaure.. me and Ab swing straight as we actually do live with women, good luck living with the fellas).

Viper Tony - had you actually grown one, I'm not really sure why you would have to 'wash up now.' I can only assume thats because the women you know who have one are pretty nasty? All makes sense now..

Thanks!
