Has anyone used them with success?

I think they sell for right around $288.00

Are the torque specs the same as the stock head bolts?

Studs would allow more consistent torque setting, go with studs and nuts

We use a lot of ARP products and the stud kit for the Viper is very nice. I would use it if you were planning to produce a lot of boost like DLM.

Do you use the same torque on the nuts as you would on the stock bolts or do you torque them down a little more?

ARP part # ARP247-4201 ARP says that it is for 92-02 but the fact of the matter is that these only fit GEN 2. GEN 1 bolts are much longer. There is a guy on ebay that sells them for about $100 less than ARP sells them for. The guy is legit. I've been to his store for other things.

I bought the ARP kit from that guy on ebay. He is legit. The price is about the same as Summit Racing. Summit Racing told me it would take about two weeks to get it to me. This guy gave it to me in 3 days.
by the way Bill, we have the same last name and I have an Uncle named Bill. :D

Do you use the assembly lube on the aluminum block and ARP studs? Wasn't sure if that would cause some bad effects down the road.

Adam -

They are to be installed in the block dry and not very tight.
Don't use the same torque as you would the factory head bolts. The torque value changes with studs and consideration is given to the type of lube used on the studs. Oil exemplifies a different torque value than assembly lube. They have a higher clamp load so you don't want to go too tight, they will distort the block if you haven't machined it with torque plates.

So Doug,

What torque should I use with no oil? Same as the book?

When you say hand tighten the studs in the block...don't use the allen wrench to install them? Just screw in as tight as I can with my hands?
