There was quite a bit of drilling/fiddling involved to get the door bars to fit against the floor and vertical rocker section. The rear portion went in fairly well, although realize that the Autoform bar is _not_ meant to be used with the factory vinyl-covered piece that goes between/behind the seats. If you want to retain that, you have to carve quite a bit out of it to get it to fit. It was a very time-consuming job on Ben's car. Autoform does offer a fiberglass piece in its place, but it only houses the speaker, deleting the 'glove compartment' space.

Yes, it contacted the outer portion of the seatback on both the driver and passenger seats. Definitely a high-wear area, and there really wasn't anything we could do about it, as the bar was pretty well sandwiched between the door panel and the seat.
Is that the same problem you're having, MW?

Thanks Bill,

Yep that's the situation w/my stock seat. Except mine must be tighter fit even than your deal...

The sidebar bracket eventually chewed a small hole in the side of my seat, so Ted May reworked both the bracket and the sidebar to use a different fitting. That seems to work much better -- either Doug can post pictures of it now, or I can post pictures as soon as I get the car back.
