Club members,
I'm coordinating an auto lift group buy.
This thing is really starting to take shape!
I only just now noticed that there is a BendPak group buy which is a great lift commercial grade lift. These are more hobbyist lifts.

We've struck a deal for primarily 4-post lifts with both AllStarLift and Autolifters...
AllStarLift (formerly TeamLift) offers the SS-7000 and SS-7000XLT.
And, Autolifters offers the M6 and M80XT.

All lifts come with 2 ramps, 3 drip pans, 2 jacking trays, and a caster kit.
These are not the cheaper chinese made lifts.
Autolifters are Made in America and AllStarLift are welded and assembled here just south of Fort Worth, TX. I'm checking on the fact that one washer did say CHINA on it ... lol. I hesitate to say "Made in America" because a someone already pointed this out on one of my hi-res images below! lol

Autolifters has a great web-site www.autolifters.com to see everything about their lift. ... They are in Kansas.

AllStarlift is made just south of Fort Worth, Texas.
I have hosted some images of a nearby XLT-version:

We're trying to get the minimum number of lifts to make both group buys happen because all of them are awesome lifts.

AllStarLift = 2150 or 2750 (XLT)
Autolifters = 2350 or 2650 (XT)

This is pickup pricing, no delivery. Delivery is available, but more than likely, most of us will be picking them up.
Let me know if you or anyone you know may be interested in jumping on this group buy!
I'm not making a dime ... I'm just saving 365 to 765 like everyone else :)

If you are interested, send me an e-mail: [email protected]
Then I can send you more details...

I'm a big fan of the Autolifter. Wish they were cheaper.

Is there a misprint in your pricing? The M6 Autolifter is only $2295 on their site. The XT is $2595. Group buy price is higher than regular price :)

No typo. My Autolifters group buy includes casters and 2 8" jacking trays...
A savings of over $400.

The AllStarLift has the same items but 2 12" jacking trays.

That's the lift that crushed my jeep. If you don't care about your life or your car, these and other cheapo lifts are the ones to buy!

Main cause for any lift to fail is due to installation or adjustment of the cables. Not sure what happened to the above, but no matter what lift you have, adjustment to the cables are critical and there should never be any slack on the cables where the cable can fall off the pulleys and cause one side to fall shorter than another side. Also I would make sure that all legs are bolted down. I know some lifts you don't have to, but if you don't bolt them down, make sure the lift is sitting on a level surface...again, most lifts out there in the market are safe, it's the assembly and the adjustment is where things can fail.

camfab, yes, it sounds like everyone could benefit from your experiences...

your issue is that these lifts don't have an EMERGENCY OFF switch nor a mechanism to shut off should your vehicle actually hit the garage ceiling, right?

When you said it crushed your jeep, I thought you meant it dropped onto your jeep. It turned out the be the opposite. It pushed your jeep into the ceiling.

I'll have to mention that to everyone involed in this group buy.
I don't know if the AllStarLift has an EMO either. I'll check, but I doubt it.

BTW, we just started ordering our AllStarLifts because we met the minimum number, but our Autolifter group buy is still about 5 short of making our 20.

Send me an e-mail if you at all interested in owning a lift for your garage :)

I live in S Arlington . Do they offer install ? Anyone install one yet and have pics ? I'm interested, but frankly don't want to install myself. I have nightmares of getting squished by a lift....lol
