Average cost to ship OEM Wheels/Tires?

I know some of you have shipped your OEM wheels/tire combos to other members on the board, whats the average cost to ship them? I dont have boxes, or the weight of the wheel/tire combo to check the popular carriers. Just thought i would check here for real costs.

Sent one wheel through a Detroit area UPS store to a refinisher in Chicago area. I didn't have a box and they charged me $48.00 for packing and shipping (now I know the definition of ****!). Later I sent the same wheel in the box they had given me to the same destination for $10.00.

I just shipped some acr's and pilots this weekend.

rears 60lbs with tires
fronts 52lbs with tires.

Boxes, packing material and packing was $30.00

Shipping: each rim was shipped in separate boxs with $1000.00 insurance each rim. $45.00 a rim.

$180.00 shipping charges UPS ground
$30.00 packing and materials

Just bought a set of 2001 wheels/tires yesterday, coming from tennesee to maryland, the guy said 280 for ups or only 150 for dhl, sounded pretty cheap for all 4 with tires, so you might wanna check out the dhl price

They've been going at $1,500 - $2,000, without tires (unless you find a steal somewhere).

I paid 1500 yesterday for a set of 4 with 95% tread pilots, chromed, but 2 of them have bad curb rash that im going to have to get fixed

well,I'm the one that sneakypete shipped the ARC's wheels to and consequently my 2000 GTS wheels and tires with 10.000 miles are for sale.
Wheels are in perfect shape, no scratchs,nicks,etc and the tires have at least 75% threads remaining.
I also have an extra rear wheel.
5 wheels + 4 tires $2500 and I pay shipping
