listen, i just posted on my install on the bm shifter, from what i understand the difference in the 2 styles is the all billet look aluminum look one like in the how-to section is the old one with the adjustable stops. the newer version in blue is non-adjustable. and the hardest bolts to get at are not the two front bolts, only the passenger side front and the passenger side rear are tough. i will say the toughest part of the install was without using a stick magnet trying to get the rear passenger side bolt in the hole to torque down, trying it with just your fingers is a *****. if you drop the bolt it looks like you would have to remove the bottom shield off the car to allow this dropped bolt to hit the ground. lucky for me i have thin hands. also i did not a very minimal difference in the shift throw over just the addition of my mgw knob addition. i havenot driven the car yet to be sure, but sitting in the garage banging through the gears feels very positive and i can see missing the 2-3 shift at the drag strip ever again. just rip that stick back straight up in the ball on your hand and in goes right into 3. almost impossible to accidentally toss in 1 again.
