Back on track... Great find Pirate!! I rescued my 96 from a similar situation. BTW who needs some raggedy ass rain forests? As long as my snakes are clean! Again, way to go Pirate.

Thanks for the positive feedback....I hated to see the shape the car was in....I truly wasnt sure if there was some bad problems underneath the dirt....Whitebluevipe I guess the pictures dont impress the condition of this car,sure it wasnt destroyed but it was nasty.I was trying to share with the board what I thought might be an interesting story...Im not ticked at you and Im not waiting for a Nobel peace prize....though I would kill for one!!!!!!

PirateViper, there must be something about dentists and low mi. 96 GTS. You've got me by appx 6000 mi. Hopefully you will enjoy yours as much as I've enjoyed mine. Averaging 1K mi/yr. Car should last me till I'm 120 years old.

Nice job Gerald....Ive always loved vipers....This is my 7th edition....I had a 96 in 97 so I do love this car....i sold my 01 yellow just to get this car....I had the yellow tricked out too....hated to part with it but this 96 was the only car I would let it go for.....Watch what you say there are some rabid antidentites in this club....if only they could need some endo that would be sweet.....little shop of horrors comes to mind!!!!!

Knowing you took a very respected Tech with you, who assessed your view of the extreme amount of dust, dirt, neglect, this beauty had come under, it was great to see she was no worse for wear. Looks like the sweat equity paid off, and glad there were no unforseen surprises. She was a a garage " Ugly Duckling," glad to see she became a " Swan!"

Thanks Bill I try to take care of my cars as you know so this was a project for me but it was pretty cool to do.I figured there werent many more low mileage ones around that were being so poorly taken care of.I guess he didnt realize what he had....or maybe he did because he actively tried to move it considering the rest of his collection.I didnt mean to talk ugly about the guy because he is a nice old fella{kinda like you}....just a bit eccentic....hope somebody can go in there and get the rest of his collection and restore it....theres a 53 vette that is really in need of some help....white with white wall tires....man its sweet but covered in crap....oh well just my opinion....ask Sessions he toured the place and was surprised what this guy has....anybody got some $ to invest I can hook you up!!!!!
