Getting ready for Texas Mile next week and installed Belanger headers and straight pipes with a cat delete. Shaved off a lot of weight. Mopar computer. 2008 Gen IV. Dynoed at 590rwhp/533torque this morning.

That is a decibel meter in the corner of the video.

I am curious, were these start ups when the engine was cold? Also curious to what the readings would have been if the car was out in the street or parking lot vs what looks like a garage.

Cold with the Corsa, warm with the straight pipes.

Is there drone with top and windows up??

I was expecting it to be bad, but none at all cruising. Totally was not expecting that. I had the straight pipes clamped on so that I could put the Corsa catbacks back on after Texas Mile. Not sure I will do that or not.

I had a good idea that it may not drone too bad. What drones bad on gen 3's doesn't drone a bit on gen 4's in my experience anyway.

Here is a cell phone video of it on the dyno.

This is the first run and the dyno was "off" so the numbers on the end of the video are not reflected. Second run was 589/534.

Where do you get cat deletes? Or you just replaced them with straight pipes? 3" pipes all the way? Thats the exact same setup i want

And oh....FIIIIRE!!!!

The Belanger headers with the turnouts exit under the door, so all I did was run straight pipe from the turnout. Did the system at 2.5" as per Lou Belanger that said it would hold better torque numbers. The local guy I took it to actually did the last 1 foot or so in 3" because he did not like the look of the 2.5" at the exit through the side sill. He put it together and he said it did not fill out the space visually.

Have you changed th 5th gear ratio or you still have the stock ratio?
Good stuff and nice job :)

Thank you sir. No I have not done that......yet. 5th gear is the low point for the 2008 car for sure. Would be nice to get a bit farther into the HP band in 5th. Your suggestions on the change? I have read a lot about it lately.
