Hey Gang - 2nd time Viper owner here.

Just had a 4th Gen (2010) delivered last week. 25k miles. Had it inspected remotely, checked out great. Got in, took a long ride, many starts and stops. Ran perfectly, as expected. Came home and gave it a wash. Was careful around the hood vents, but I did go to town on the wheel wells, with the white head on a pressure washer. They were a bit muddy due to drop off in street having a muddy puddle. I didn't go crazy, nothing through the engine vents, but I could be culpable in the washing so wanted to put that out there. I am now realizing that the ECU may be behind driver wheel well - is that right?

After that and a few hours waxing, didn't start. Grabbed a new Optima battery - I want to replace any potential problems. Waited a few hours, started fine. Drove around the next day, 10 or so starts zero problems. 12.5v in accessory, 14+ V while driving - so I know the battery and alternator is fine. Came home and it is not starting. Starter has power. Pulled the starter, battery trick - starter extends and spins very well, no problems there.

Checked the fuses, they are fine. Relay to starter is fine, clicks as it should. Starter wire shows power when pressing start button.

Occasionally I can get the car to start after a battery disconnect, but it's auto shutting down. I suspect something is fried, whether it is the ECU or something else.

Anyone else have this experience or input? at this point I have done all I can. I am going to tow it to my cousin's Dodge/Chrysler dealer and have it repaired. I am not upset about the potential cost fix, but the downtime and the massive disappointment of an issue w/ my new Viper.

Thanks!
