No contest, the B&B is way bad!!
Sorry no sound file.
My 2000 GTS dynoed 437 rwhp 473rwtq with B&B and no cats, VEC1 and smooth tubes with S&B filters.
Pulls real strong. Just ask anyone who tried following me on the straights at BIR Viper Days.
Sounds too loud for most, but man does it bark. Always getting positive comments on the sound.
We have pretty much the spectrum for exhaust systems in the MN VCA club. I think if it came to a vote in the club, mine would win for sound. I know that sounds like a pretty bold statement to make, but the comments I get from the other members leads me to think I would win.

Both sound good, but if you have to have cats for emissions, I think Belanger is the way to go. I also have the Belanger headers, but if you'd like to call me I'll take the phone to the garage and let you listen. Sorry no sound clip. I have a friend in our local club who has B&B and most that have heard them both are split on the preferred sound. I think the Belanger is a deeper gurgle where the B&B is louder.

Sound files schmound files. Listen for YOURSELF in person!

My standard advice:
Get to a VCA event or club get together to hear for your self the different systems. It's just too subjective!
Good luck!

I help fit my Balenger/borla system with my tech, then helped a friend fit his full B&B, where the Balenger was a simple install the B&B had a few incorrect bends which had to be corrected, and the headers arrived rusting ! there were small pin head sized rust spots all over the outside, although they swapped them fairly quickly. He's runs no cats and the sound is awesome, a lot louder/deeper than my setup

There is a current thread on headers around here somewhere, most say the Bellangers go on super easey. If the Bellangers are JetHot coated with JetHot's "sterling silver" they look sweet! If the coating is that primer gray JetHot coating..... yuk!!

There was also a thread by a guy that had the B&B catback with RT hiflow cats and he complained of bad drone. Sean Roe advocates using his brand of hiflow (looks entirely different than the RTs) with the B&B with little to almost no drone.

I installed my B&B system in under 3 hours lying on my back with just the rear of the car in the air. I also removed the stock system in that 3 hour period.
No Fit? Try turning the system around, the big tips go to the back!
Just kidding, I was very pleased with the fit and finish of the B&B. Sounds more exotic than the others IMO!

Sorry maybe I'm too ******* the B+Bs, but of the two that I know of in the UK, neither fitted very well. My Belanger headers fitted great. I now run the headers with no cats, a Borla system with the silly inner tailpipes removed and the Borla silencers replaced by Sean Roes 3" bore silencers ( which dont have the folded metal thing down the middle of them ) The sound is the deepest I have heard from a standard engined viper. Recommend those Sean Roe silencers, they are nicely made.
BTW, anybody else think that the y piece in both the Belangers and the B+B's is a design that could be improved. They always seem to get a very slight leak there. Maybe a three or four bolt flange might be better than a two bolt (probably harder to fit though )

Why are you selling them , what size are they?
I am selling because I bought this set for my new 99, but the car had headers (TNT I think) already on them. So these are just laying around. They are 1 5/8". Just looking to get close to what I have in them and $1500 shipped I think is fair.

I just picked up my '97 GTS from Roanoke Motors after having Belanger headers and cat back exhaust installed. Sounds incredible. It's got a low rumble at idle, and screams at WOT!!! Sounds bad @ss. I have the rolled tips from Belanger. I'm told we are one of the first to have them, and they look great!!

charmer - you are talking about cat-back systems right, cause this thread took a turn to talking about headers too

B&B--the only way to go!!
Ditto! I have B&B headers, no cats, and B&B cat back. If you want a totally rude, nasty, wicked sound that will turn heads, go with B&B. They seem to make lots of HP too! This set-up might be too loud for some people, but I like the wild sound.

Charmer006,
sound is subjective. You must listen to both and decide for yourself. I've had both. My 96 R/T had Ballenger headers and catback with factory cats. Sounded cool. My 2000 R/T has B&B headers, catback and no cats....sounds like a race car under throttle...very mean sounding...a bit loud. I'd say listen for yourself and if you don't notice a difference that is worth the $$, (whatever that amount may be)j, pick whichever system is less expensive. Or choose on looks.

Just my $.02

DN

P.S. I've had no fitment problems with either
