I have a 02 RT. What if any are the major benefits of Eibachs other than lowering the car? Will there be a substantial positive effect on the handling of the car? Are there any major detriments to them? I am more interested in autocross and road racing than drag

All help is appreciated.

My 2cents:

"benefits": ONLY looks!
"substantial positive effect": NONE!
"major detriments": Bottoming out and you'll need a kidney belt!

Leave her at the stock height!

Fire suite on!! :D

My personal take on them is that they improve looks, thats about it.

Cornering ability is similar if not worse than factory, and ride quality is the same. There has been no bottoming out for me, or the need of a kidney belt, I find them very soft, to soft actualy.

I personally love Eibachs.
The looks alone (especially with aftermarket wheels) justify for me.
I even prefer the lack of body roll the springs provide over stock.
The ride is a minor amount stiffer, but you can adjust your shocks a little to compensate
fwiw: I think they will provide what your looking for since I prefer autoX and curves

You've got that right, the "Wizard" would just catch the fireball with his wand and throw it back at us :bonker:

When Chuck serviced my car last spring, I dropped the Eibachs off with him along with a box of other fun parts to install. I left his shop with the Eibachs still in the box which now sits in my garage taunting me. :p I'm still tempted to throw them on -or- maybe I'll just man-up and get some coilovers. Oh frig. Decisions... :crazy:

Hmm.I Didn't have any problem with looks when I got eibachs.I thought the amount of body roll and push was excessive with the stock springs.Eibach's lower the CG,reduce roll.Shock adjustment without going full stiff keeps the ride compliant.Throw in a slightly more agressive alignment than stock and you will be very happy.For an auto-x kick out the shims for an extra 1 deg neg camber up front.
