"BEST" clutch? Here's the most expensive. TILTON

I have had GREAT experiences with McLeod. A lot of the big boys are running the street twin....it feels almost the same as the stock clutch.

I founk LUK clutch for the Viper in (dialaclutch.com) for $ 204.00 it doesn't get better than that!

LUK is an excellent brand, and for all you know could be the OEM for this car.

I'll be pushing almost 500 rwhp soon, I am pretty sure it can handle it no problem.

But if I were to recommend a clutch for a car more modified than mine, I swear by McLeod. The quality and performance is top notch.

I'm running the LUK(blew the stocker at 5k miles), it "is" the factory clutch. I'll run it with the SC too....rather blow a 200 dollar clutch than something else.

I have the Tilton.

I should have enough experience with it in a few weeks to give you some impressions.

I run the Tilton as well in my personal car, smoothest engauging clutch at that capacity level I have ever seen. Quality is second to none, it is fit to be framed. While it is somewhat beyond what you are doing in capability, if you track the car regularly, it could become a worthy investment.

I've always cringed when I thought about 5k+ for a clutch. I ended up spending 1200 on a SPEC twin-disc. I have never driven the Tilton or the McLeod so i can't comment on them. But I can tell you that for non-high-HP applications (under 1000rwhp) i liked the stock clutch (the $200 one) and the SPEC 3 (around $500). didn't care for the centerforce and hated the RPS POS (all the models are POS, actually).

On the other hand, I respect what Kai and Dan have to say so I wouldn't shy away from either. I'd just make sure that I had it right for my application.
