Best gear ratio? Getting them installed today....

Shop suggested 3:54 gears.... just curious what everyone else is running? and what you guys think is best for a street setup? I obviously want the most jump when I hit the gas, without melting the tires of course! lol.... getting them installed today! Thanks for the $.02 guys....

Little late to decide isn't it? Go to this calculator and plug in your tire size and you can see what your maximum speed in each gear would be with a certain gear. I think big questions between 3:55 and 3:73 is if you drag race and your car makes enough power that you would have to shift into 5th at the end of the quarter mile which would adversely affect your time. If all you do is drive on the street, I say run 3:73 (my plan along with the shorter Rockland Gear 5th and 6th) and for sure if you run 19-20" tires as 3:73 with tall tires is the same as 3:55 with stock height tires.

Thanks Phoenix, Valaya Racing is gonna throw in the 3:73's.... Ted said exactly what you just did.... can't wait to get the car back.
