Best Radar Detector?

RADAR/LIDAR detection test in Feb. Car and Driver(page 70).
Tested the following:
BEL980
COBRA XR-1050
****** 8500
UNIDEN LRD 987
VALENTINE ONE
WHISTLER 1780

Winner V1 by a huge margine.

Out of a possible 100 score,

V1 Scored 97

****** 8500 (2nd) Scored 73

BEL980 (3rd) Scored 61

V1 continues to dominate the RADAR/LIDAR detection market.

But the V1 had the most false alarms.

I quit using any detector in a city. They are OK for open roads.

Average detector had 12.5

City mode
V1 8 falses
