What do you all think the best sounding aftermarket exhaust is on an 06 SRT-10 Coupe?

I am interested to hear the responses to this question as well. I put the Mopar race exhaust (which is cat-less) on mine and am somewhat disappointed in the sound.

I'm also interested to know. I had previously installed Corsa on my 03 vert. I also had a chance to hear the Belanger which sounds pretty awesome with the Headers installed. But I don't want the Headers and as far as I know, Belanger only offer the complete package which included the header. But I never have a chance to hear the Borla and the rest of them. Therefore, after hearing all side of stories, I ended up purchasing another Corsa track along with Random Tech Cats from JonB...hope I made the right choice this time. At least I'm comfortable with the sound of Corsa.

I installed the Corsa Track Exhaust along with the Random Tech Cats and am extremely happy with it. If I were to do it all over again, I'd do the same thing.

It's loud enough to set off car motion alarms when idling through a subdivision, but not too loud where it's annoying.

Sound clips don't do much justice, but here's a try...

I have been pretty happy with the Mopar race exhaust, except the tip movement (uses the whole opening from cold to hot). It is loud with a capital L when at WOT. Course the Paxton might be helping there as well.

A little drone at times, especially roof up (guess that is coupe mode). But less than the drone on an RT/10 with similar exhaust.

I agree with GR8_ASP

The Mopar is loud at WOT- but loud is good! Around town exhaust is fine , but the drone is alittle annoying to me.

I just had Corsa exhaust installed on my 06 SRT-10 1st Edition Coupe and I am not happy at all. They sound like someone is holding a piece of cardboard over the tips. It will be coming back off.

i really like my corsa(no crossover), i have stock cats on currently(maybe removing soon). it seems to be the best of both worlds loud on the gas and quiet when cruising at low rpms and/or highway speeds

I have Corsa track 3" w/ RT high flow cats on SRT10 conv and I'm not happy at all. They sound too raspy and don't have the deep rumble sound. My 97 GTS (sold now) had belager header w/ 3" cat back (muffler delete) and it sounded awesome and I loved them. The corsa is no where near mean or nice as gen II exhaust set up. I WANT BETTER SOUNDING EXHAUST !!!!!!

After installing Corsa Track I had a bit of annoying drone. Got some Vortex Cones from Parts Rack. Mostly eliminated the drone, and made the exhaust more comfortable. Probably cost me a few HP, but with Paxton HP is not a problem.

headers will change the sound in terms of hp gains the header is a poor upgrade, in $/hp catagory. the stock headers are pretty effecient. most of the srt-10 headers are in the $3,000-4,000 range and the hp gain vs. just changing/eliminating cats and a cat back system the headerw will only net you another 14-20 hp from what i have been told.

I know of the problem with the mopar's tips expanding when hot, and heard of moving the tips forward to compensate. Also spot welding them I heard was a good idea. Is this just a mopar issue or with corsa's as well?

I have the opposite problem...

30" MAGNAFLOW muffles, cat delete.

It is not really loud, but DEEP!! After a hard drive I feel kinda sick in the stomach from the low frequency sounds that you can barely hear, but you FEEL instead.

Installing VORTEX cones tomorrow, keeping my fingers crossed that it will get betTer.

I put the Mopar exhaust on my 05 copperhead. It eliminates the X over and some of the cockpit heat. I love the sound esp. when I really get on it. Not too loud at lower rpm's, which is fine with me. There is a lot of tip movement as they heat up. Right now mine rattle when cold (a minute or two) and when warm finish off centered. I'll have to fuss with them a bit more to eliminate the rattle.

did you spot weld them at the slip joints? did you install them yourself?

I am thinking of going with the Corsa Track, remove the crossover and remove 2 of the cats. Anyone do this and know if it sounds good?

I have not had a need to spot weld. The issue is growth. They grow from hitting the front edge when cold (hitting hard when parked over the winter). To hitting the rear slightly when hot. No ability to adjust it out. That is why I have been asking for a tuner to market new turnouts that are closer to 90 degrees and able to use less opening. The Corsa is a steeper angle than the Mopar system.

I'm putting on a 3" CORSA Track, and I will be selling the after-cat portion of my 3" B&B sytem (with the 3" cross-over) ... I'm debating whether or not to put Vortex cones in during the install

Do the Vortex cones change the sound a lot or not? What does it do to the sound?
