any foil works..just roll it up nice and tight and put it between the to ends. tighten the clamp. sealed!

By the way steel is molten at 1100 to 1400 degrees not 3000 but I agree that you dont want to put a torch in there.[/b]

Huh??? Steel, with is comprised mostly of iron, melts between 2500 to 3200 degrees F, depending on the other alloys. Look up the ASTM specs for various steel alloys (stainless steels, carbon steels, etc.). The temperature range you're listing is that of aluminum.
