Installed the EBC reds. They squel way to much for my liking. They were bedded correctly. What's the quiet pad I'm looking for. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks

What's wrong with the OE pads?

I managed to set a lap record with the OE stuff - they're actually pretty good - and they don't squeal.

If you track your car a lot then I'd say live with the noise but if you only do 5 or 6 lapping events a year then I'd stay with the stock pads.

I ran the Auto Zone yes Auto zone Z-Max ceramic pads they are the best pads I have ever used. I ran them on my GT 500 for 2 years and love them. I used the hawk and ebc pads and they made way to much noice and dust. With Z-Max pads my wheels stay spotless and no noice at all. I just installed them on my 2006 Viper and I just love them. They are half the price of any of the other brands , but they out performed them on a DD situation. Dont take my word for them just go and chek them out you will be impresed.

Had the same issue with the Reds. I actually ended up giving them to another member here who said he liked them. I have the Hawk ceramic on mine now. No noise, very little dust, and still good stopping power. I don't know if I'd use the ceramic if I was tracking the car at all, but Hawk has got me as a customer now.

Might you have the part no. Just called autozone, they told me they don't carry the Z-Max pads for the GENIII Viper.

For street or track use? Tried EBC (red & green), Hawks, and Porterfields. I use mine for street and it is Hawk all the way.

There are different 4-*** Brembo calipers, so you cannot go on that alone. For example, GenII and GenIII both use Brembo 4-pistons. Different pads.

To answer the OP question, we need to know the application--street, track, how much of each?

From 2003 and up all brembo 4 piston calliper with 14" rotors are the same, thats when they built calliper for dodge, nissan, cadillac, Ford, etc etc etc ,the reason the pad are not same from gen 2 to 3 is the rotors where 13" not 14" like on gen 3. I jus did the install on my 06 and they work perfect. These pads are for D driving or auto X will work just fine.

I agree with Greg, I have tried Mintex and a few others and I think the stock pads which are made by Brembo are just fine-and they don't squeal.

I concur. It is hard to beat the stock pads. Yes there are others that are less dust but less dust equals less braking... I tried EBCs and yanked them after a few hundred miles.

Sorry, was away for a couple of days. Yes, those are the HPS pads which are very good. I have those on my 99 R/T 10 and ran them on my former Porsche as well. I am also running the Hawk ceramics on my 09 which are VERY clean. If for street use and you have a Gen III/IV, that is what I would recommend...Hawk ceramics. They don't make a full set for Gen II's at this time which is why I run HPS on my Gen II.

All are great...NO squeaks, very little dust, excellent performance...you will be pleased... I bought mine from Sean at Roe Racing...highly recommend.

Incidentally, my goal was to clean things up. The Brembo pads work just fine but they are ultra dusty!
