Hi there,

I am in the UK and have a 1994 RT/10, which has the 96/97 17" 5 spoke chrome wheels... At the moment, as far as I am aware the car is running stock brakes.

I am wondering whether there is a brake upgrade kit I am able to buy for the car? and if there is, where is the best place to go?

Any weblinks and suggestions would be highly appreciated.

All the best
Dave

Thanks Guys, at the moment I have no idea of the costs involved with these kinds of upgrade, or of the benefits, so I am just doing a bit of searching around at the moment for information... I'll take a look at the links you have supplied and consider it all more fully. Thanks again!

Toms rear brake upgrade for sure........
Stoptechs are to much money....
Or you have Daves kit but you will need to go 18" wheels....

I knew I was going to regret not buying Steve's GenIII wheels!
I'll talk to you about my options next time I speak to you Baz, and see what you think...

I just did some brake work on my '95. Here's what I did.

Cone brake kit from PartsRack: ~$300
Air Deflectors: ~$100
Stainless Steel Brake Lines: ~$200
Tom's Rear Caliper Upgrade: ~$700
BrakeMan3 Pads: ~$400
Autozone Rotors: ~$100
'SuperBlue' racing fluid: ~$20

This setup works well, and fits within the 17" rims I have. The braking is balanced. At the higher speeds, I think BM3's don't have enough bite. I'll use these out then try some PFCs.

I switch out my pads and rotors between street and my DE events on the track.

In someone like me, going to larger calipers is very expensive, for minimal return. I'd rather have the money for events and tires. I'm not doing anything competitive, just having fun and learning.
