I am a new member and in the market for an early SRT10. Can I determine the manufacture date from the VIN?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I don't think so, considering I have a VIN number for a car that hasn't been built yet. Someone else may be able to offer more insight to your question, but I don't think that VIN numbers have the manufacture date in them.

In case you missed it. MDH explanation may not have been too clear,,,,

MDH ExplanationThe MDH stands for Month-Day-Hour. This is the Exact month, day , and hour that your Viper was manufactured. The MDH is located along the bottom edge of a decal which is mounted on the Vipers driver's side door, just below the latch mechanism. Vipers were NOT build in serial number sequence, the only way to know exactly when a Viper was produced is the MDH.

The MDH format is MMDDHH where MM is the month, DD is the day, and HH is the hour.

Month - two digit representation of the month produced
01 - January
02 - February
03 - March
04 - April
05 - May
06 - June
07 - July
08 - August
09 - September
10 - October
11 - November
12 - December

Day - two digit representation of day on month produced
01 - first day
02 - second day
.
.
.
31 - thirty first day

Hour - Two digit military time Viper was produced
01 = 1 AM
02 = 2 AM
.
.
.
12 = 12 PM
13 = 1 PM

Example:
MDH 050608
decodes as:
05 = fifth month (May)
06 = sixth day

If you want to get techinal, take any panel off your car, I bet there are all kinds of dates and times. Kinda neat.
