starts with, you must be preapproved to bid, yeah right, if you are listed with ebay you are already approved to bid on anything, that is if it is legit,stupid asp wipe...
probably stole the users ID, happens alot on ebay...
I have already reported the auction as a fraud....man, I am tired of the scam crap, and ebay is full of it....buyer beware...

What these scammers do is sell stuff like for $0.95 per item and get high feed back rating then they go for the bigger ticket item.

yeah, i've seen this many times..screename gets hijacked
be careful responding to ebay emails asking for info, these dudes are scamming passwords

What happens most of the times is they will send you a email, looks very official from ebay, right down to the ebay colors and all the goodies, they tell you that your account may have been used with out authorization, and they are checking into it, they supply you with a link you must go to and fill out all your info, and also state that failure to do so will result in your ebay account being closed for your protection, asp wipes even tell you not to change any of your account info for 72 hours, yeah right, that is all they need to **** you blind.....
What to do, turn these guys in as scammers, ebay will never send you a email that requires you to respond with a link, they always ask for you to sign in normally and respond to messages on your account page....hope this helps...

Has happen to me atleast 3-4 times.
educate yourselves on "phishing"...
a "legitimate" email comes from ebay/chase/washington mutual (i've seen it all) asking you to go an update your info (or take action on your account in some form). they also provide "conviniently" a link which looks legit, but if you look in the page code it points to a hackers server. you enter your info ... the rest is history.

Before the lsiting was pulled, I told the seller I was also living in Nebraska (the supposed listing location), and told him I would like to "swing by" and see the car. Here is his response:
