Photo of my SRT-10 and some of the expert craftsmen that build our Vipers towards the end of the line at CAAP.

Thanks to everyone that helped with my recent visit to the home of the best built sports car ever build in the USA. My special tour guide Ken was very knowledgeable about every station and function inside CAAP. We walked the entire plant from the engine build line through the final inspection. The last stop on our tour was the huge storage building full of snakes in the room next to the assembly line.

The men and women that work on the line at CAAP are doing a fantastic job building America’s favorite sports car. DC should be very proud of their dedicated employees.

The warehouse has to be the coolest building. I was there when the GT-2's were being produced and one could look around and see those wings sticking up amidst the other Vipers and Prowlers.

Is that the coffee or the car that has you so wired looking.LOL.

What do you mean your SRT? I thought you already got an SRT?
Did you pick up any information about the Valve issue while you were there? Did you by chance see them replacing valves on the cars in the warehouse?

that would be SRT #2! There are some very lucky people out there. I tried to e-mail you while in town, Jerry, I saw you had some questions. I hope you got answers.

I asked about the engine valve problem while talking to the person in charge of the engine testing. His response was something like it was not a wide spread problem and if I remember right, he said they were all still in the plant and were repaired. I may be wrong, but that is what I remember. Then again he may not have understood my question.

As for the look on my face, I think someone had just told me that this was my car. The stylish plastic glasses also add a lot to anyones looks.

Michael, I'm sorry I missed you while I was in the Detroit area. Yes, I found out what I needed to know. I did not stay in the closest area though for the 2 tours I had planned. Next time I will stay a bit closer. Auburn Hills was a bit of a drive each day.

GTSViper - This one even has my name on the window sticker.
