Caliper Bling?

I'm looking for ideas on my upcoming winter project. Who's done anything unusual to their calipers? The "Viper" text is OK, but pretty standard.

I always thought stripping them down to bare metal and clear coating them would look great. You could put the Viper decal back on or not.

Is the caliper aluminum, could always polish it, maybe add red or black Viper lettering...or go all the way and get chromed, = $.
