Howdy all,
Well the engine is out of the car to deal with a bent valve and so I'd like to put a cam in it while I have the engine out. The consensus on here seems to be get the heads ported while they're off, I get it, but I don't have another $4k to toss at the build and honestly don't really need the power. So that said aside from the Twister thread (on a Gen III), any cam-only builds to speak of on here? There are Comp Cams standard cuts for the Xtreme Energy 218/224 and 212/218 available from Speedway motors which look fairly mild, barely above a 708, which might be worth doing. The car is just going to be a weekend cruiser, not looking to go racing in it or anything, so a slightly lumpy idle is fine, but nothing obnoxious. I'll be tuning it myself via HPTuners. Anyone done a similar build? Anyone?
Thanks,
Tony
