Guys has anybody on the board seen this car in person or know a bit about the history. Its modified and well cheap so I am less picky then most. It will be tracked so all original and matching numbers really does not mean much to me.

Been saving for a Gen V but this is just about exactly how I would setup a Gen III. Plus my old Gen III convertible was my favorite viper that I have owned. There are very few coupes in the gen III for sale and this is semi local and in the right color.

I know it had a motor replacement due to oil starvation, and I have the receipts from DC performance motor was swapped ~10K miles ago so its more then likely a clean swap. Just not entirely sure if it has some odd history with the club.

I know the owner, Terry, he is a good Viper guy.

That car is a steal!

You guys did the wing and the canards right in that car?

Cool, I met Terry a while back at one of the viper functions something Andy put together I think. Never saw the car though.

Biggest thing is the title is clean and the car is 100% there in terms of safety and mechanic's. I can handle a few scrapes and scuffs cosmetically, its just that eBay has such crappy pictures and with a lower price not sure if there was some weird back story. Car is 60+K under what I was going to pay for a Gen V so that is a big plus.

Sent Dan a email to see if he remembers the car and if it needed anything else. If he opens up near the old shop I can just ship my car up to him for service.

So I am buying this one, just need to knock my bank into gear and get them to transfer the cash tomorrow and find a truck to drag it back to me.

Left you a PM on car... You have checked it out good, up on a rack ?
Why are you trucking it from Rialto to SD - it is a 2 hour drive ?

That's the weird part It is NOT Terry's car - he is selling for someone else. I was supposed to see the car at a scheduled time,
never kept the appointment.

Sent you a monster of a PM, its a little late and might be a bit rambly. Effectively its a good car for my purposes, not something I would want to put on display as the perfect viper. Unless I am missing something big in the car history.

I've seen the car around and spoken to Terry Rossi about it. He's selling for a friend named Samy. (I know them both, but know Terry much better). DC put in the new motor and you can call Dan about that. Don't beleive it's ever been wrecked or painted, Terry has worked on the car and I'm sure it's had good maintenance. Terry lives in Rilato, not sure where Sami is but somewhere in OC or LA county. Not a garage queen but a good price. Good luck, Mike

Sorry guys I missed this thread (I don't check this board enough) :D

Hey Burt,

This is Terry. I know you were supposed to see the car on Monday. I was waiting for your phone call around 3ish. What happened?!? I didn't have your cell number so I couldn't reach you during the day.

I left you a message at home the next morning to tell you that you could check the car in Ontario (closer to your house). Never heard back from you?!? Did I miss-understood something?!? This happens sometime as my English is not the best :rolaugh:

If that's the case I apologize for it.

Yes, it is right, it is not my car. It is Samy's and he couldn't take any phone calls during the day, so I took care of the sale. There's nothing hidden though. Just another good, clean Viper for sale. It's been at 3 or 4 Viper events with the other guys, so some of you know it. Samy did run it at Willow one day with oil below min level ===> Hence blown motor. Nothing really surprising. It's not even a viper issue. Any car that goes to willow even for 1 session should have it's oil level checked out or it'll cost.... that's turn 8 requirement.

Anyway, looks like Mike from SD is going to be the next owner. Congrats to him and hope to see him soon at one of our events...

Terry.

Well back at work safe and sound.

Transmission after it warmed up seemed to just magically fix itself. Returns to center like a champ.

Couple things, the AC works in the coupe, never worked in my vert's. The coupe with the wings and bits seemed to be a little more stable then I ever remember my vert's being. Dear lord is the car loud with the intake and exhaust, never modified my other vipers, at idle a little bit of drone, did not bother me until about mile 100. My shoes did not melt this time with the AC and the stereo can actually be listened to.

The upgraded LSD I am interested in testing at the track but all in all its a heck of a lot more user friendly then my last ones.

Lets see if I can get a picture to work. Swung by my wife's office to make her boss jealous, he has been looking for a good coupe GTS for a while now thought he would get a kick out of it. .
