I don't own a SRT. They didn't floor me in the looks department when they came out like the Gen 1's and 2's did. There are two colors I have come to like them in quite a bit. I happen to be nosing around to see if I can find one to buy as I type this.
I thought the joke was funny. I would still think it's funny even if I did own an SRT. Maybe this guy is overkill I don't know, I'm not over here all the time. So forgive me if I'm wrong.
BUT, I also thought the exact same thing in reverse was VERY funny when a well know poster of this board and this forum posted a photo of a Red Honda DeSol (not sure that's the right model) mocking it as an RT-10 back when some of the first SRT bashing was going on.
I've owned two RT-10's and a GTS and I laughed my a$$ off when I saw the post with the photo of the Honda with no top and a sport bar (which is the way it comes), he photoshopped the wheels to make it look like they were moving, and I even think he photoshopped the drivers hair flying back. It was hysterical, I actually laughed until tears rolled down my cheeks! I wish he would re-post the photo!
INFO for Craig. This past weekend there was a small town car show just outside of the city limits. You know one of those old town square set ups. The streets were all blocked off, hot dogs, popcorn vendors, etc... Hotrods everywhere. One section of Vipers. Four Gen 2's, two RT-10's, two GTS', and ONE SRT-10 VCA Edition. As I sat there and visited with people I watched the crowd looking at the cars and guess what? They all kept gathering around the VCA SRT, it was like the Gen 2's weren't even there.
Moral, everyone has their own personal taste. Just don't beat the guy next to you to death trying to make him like what you like.
Now would someone please photoshop the wheels. I think they will look very cool on the white car!
