The netting in the overhead storage compartment and between the seats in my GTS is worn and sagging. Can this be replaced?

You can see the one between the seats in this pic.

I actually just bought a length of black elastic fabric and thread it thru adjacent to the existing one. If you're handy with a needle and thread it works perfectly and looks like OE.

This was on a convert hardtop, but I think yours would be even easier to do.

Be careful. I found the headliner one I ordered to fit pretty well (I won't mention shorting the dome light wires and frying the switch so I had to buy a new harness - aargh!) but the console one was not even close. They apparently changed shape at some time.

good to know :2tu:

I can't believe those are that much! It should be illegal to charge that much for some netting :slap:

its partly because you have to pay for the whole compartment assembly, and partly because there is only 12 in existance.. 11.. 10... 9... :(

its funny, some people criticize when parts are shared with another car and bash the manufactures saying its cheap. but heck, i wish this was a part off a Caravan so we could get it for 30 bucks...

looks like mine are going to keep on sagging.

Do the elastic trick...works like a charm. I am by now means a seamstress (only once did I sew a button) and it took me about 20 minutes to do.

Thanks citysnake!
