The idea is cool, but apart from that - on a Viper functionality is probably questionable. The driveshaft is so short anyway - the weight is mainly in the joints/coupling and yoke - so the gain in weight saving is too small to notice.

If they are not made really well - there have been cases of the weave coming apart... stock shafts with strong couplings/yoke are handling over 1000hp and driveline loss on a Viper as a percentage is a lot lower than most cars.... only around 12%.. so you really are not going to improve that much.... just my 2 cents as one who also once thought this might be a hot trick.

Like TQ said, no need to bother. They're way too short to worry about. In fact, I've never heard of a broken stocker.
