More so on the drivers side the carpet is bunching up? It is starting to become a real problem because it interferes with me getting access to the pedals. It gets in the way often. Are there any clips that I can buy? I noticed that there is a place for them on the mats but they did not come with the mats. Anyone know where I could get these? They would help a lot.

Thanks in advance!

If it's the actual carpet see if you can pull it back and use some sort of adhesive to get it to stay put.

Just don't munch your carpet up too bad or you'll have to replace the whole thing.

F355, yep, the Viper is KING of all cars every produced for having the worst floor mats ever. They are so bad that that it can be a safety issue. If you don't keep pulling them back they will bunch up under the pedals. Maybe one day you won't be able to press the clutch or brake.

Many production cars have twin pegs to keep the mat in place. Viper does not.

Some of the guys have taken the mats to trim shops and put velcro straps or snaps and use the seat rails to keep them stationary.

The new style mat has a self tapping plastic lug that actually "drills" into your factory carpet. I would think this is just going to rip a larger and larger hole in the carpet.

Dear Jerry:

I know right. The carpet is liable to cause an accident sooner or later. I have some clips that I thikn I will use. They are in the Mercedes right now but I think the Viper needs them more.

Thanks everyone

Just buy a $5.00 gromment kit fom Home Depot and punch 2 gromments in the back end of the mats. Wire them to the seat mounting brackets and you're done.

I did it 3 years ago and haven't had a problem since.

The newer floor mats have a hole at the back that you screw in a holder into the
carpet and then snap the mat onto the holder.... save the holder and just take
a black tie rap put it through the hole in the mat. Now just loop the tie wrap
over the seat adjuster at the front of the seat. Now you can take the mat out
to clean and it doesn't slip and bunch up on you...

I came to a good solution. Go to your local Mercedes-Benz dealer and ask for the metal carpet holders. They are little black clips that hold the carpet in place but a sharp "nail" type of object. They are VERY effective and cost just about nothing.
