Did Carroll Shelby have anything to do with the Gen III? How involved was he with the original Viper?

Gen 3 I don't think he had anything to do with(at least not in any public way.

Jon B, maybe you can chime in on this...

Considering that John Fernandez was heavily involved with SRT engineering at the time....

and considering that John's history included working at Shelby's shop during his "early years"....

Can we say that some of his theories might have rubbed off on our gen3's?
