Changed spark plugs and have some questions

Hello, My name is Anthony and I am a new owner of a 2005 Copperhead Viper 177 of 300. I traded my 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT8 for the Viper. I enjoy this car way more than I did the 300, but miss the other features the chrysler offered. I have put close to 3,500 miles on my viper since march and time for some tune up items.

I just changed my plugs and have a question. One of my wires looks like this. I had no problems getting it to click onto the plug, but will this cause any problems over time.

How about the spark plugs? The only mods to the car are Mopar computer, K&N, 3.55 Gears and RT Cats and Corsa Track Exhaust.

IMO

The spark plug wire that you presented with the question simply has the sheathing pulled back a bit; likely not a big deal and yet you may want to consider a fresh set.

Now as for the spark plugs; without looking at them closely with a magnifying glass it is impossible to see the entire story however at least one appears blistered.

On the wires, I'd want to check to see if the plug wire is still attached to the plug wire connector (the metal part that snaps over the upper end of the plug). I've had some issues with aftermarket plug wires coming apart.

On the spark plugs, they look pretty typical based upon what I can see in the picture. #6 looks like it could have gotten hot some time in the past.

Autolite Irridium tipped plugs tend to work a bit better for me than the OE Champions.

I posted on the vendor section, but it appears the wire has been pulled out by the wire instead of the boot. Common mistake on wires, but always squeeze the boot and pull on the boot. Let me know what # wire it is if you have issues with it.

Yo, Antny, your plugs do NOT look alright! They have no antiseize material on the threads. Put a dab on all the plug threads prior to installation. If it was me, I'd spend the time to remove em now and do it.

The wires are at least 4 years old and all need to be changed out. I would purchase the wires with the Heat shield from Adam.

I agree with Bandit a little dab goes a long way when it comes time to remove them again.

Those are aftermarket spark plug wires ..... not sure how you can tell their age from the pictures.

It does look like someone pulled on the wire (and not the boot) when they removed it to change the plugs. This can cause a bad connection or no connection and misfires.
