UK group had a great charity day for Birmingham Childrens Hospital, some members giving over 60 laps to carry passengers, the day was great.

But with standard brakes and pads coming up to the hairpin on the last lap brake pedal goes to the floor and we end up sideways heading for an earth bank result, repair to side sill and a wheel back to the polishers.

To those that came thanks.

OUCH...I feel gutted for you Paul, must have put a damper on the whole fun day.

So sorry to read your news, I was thinking of you all, and wished myself and "noisy one" could have joined in and been there. (I refuse to run silenced though!) In fact at Santapod drag meet the other weekend, I was quite quiet compared to the other lovely MOPARS there (ask Neil)!

I know what it feels to loose the pedal, no brakes, no prior fade, no warning, just nothing. Scared the hell out of me. I've had it happen TOO many times, that recent track day I did at Donnington (the Powertour weekend) it happened again...despite all my brake upgrades! First time it ever happened to me I had to park up straight away, and I can remember being shaky for a while, and looked like I'd just seen a ghost! I was going into a turn at a good 100mph, and I don't know how I didn't ever hit the bank, got, so very, very close to it.

I don't know if many owners realize, on stock brakes, hard track driving you will only see about 4 laps on most of the circuits over here before the pedal goes. I didn't, and found out the hard way.

If I can be of any help, let me know? Hope your baby's soon well again. Glad it wasn't any worse. Although any bump is bad enough, and hurts.

If you are very very alert you will notice the brakes going soft. Then in the next usage they are GONE!. Off the track you go.

Please be alerted that if you feel your stock brakes feeling less than firm please pull off the track and let them cool down. The hard braking from high speeds heat soakes the brakes which then transfers that heat into lines and the fluid boils.
Fair warning.
