Got caught in a downpour, drove thru some high water areas that couldn't be avoided. Got home. Started car next morning, ran like crap. Check engine light came on throwing 2 codes. TPS / Accelerator sensor and fuel sensor. Has this happened to anyone?
I doubt the TPS and fuel sensor took a **** as one's in the back and the other is at the top of the engine. Tried clearing codes and they won't clear. I think they are hard coded in the computer now.

I've unhooked the battery for the night and shot some low pressure air into the TPS sensor / wiring and all 3 computer connections and the other main connection going into the firewall.. Hope it will cure it 2morrow, but we'll see.... Have I missed anything?

Thanks

Probably nothing wrong with the TPS,etc.. itself, its your computer just throwing random codes. Most likely some water in the module. Did this once with my 94' ZR-1, threw 3-4 codes. Let sit overnight. cleared with ODBII, never heard from them again.

More frequently, I have seen various "misfire" codes with water related incidents. TAXIMAN1 gives hope.

Given that you said " drove thru some high water areas that couldn't be avoided", glad to hear that you didn't hydrolock that Snake... which DID happen to one of our members during a heavy downpour out West.

I haven't had that problem since my latest mod on the GTS. Handles high water with the best of them. Check with JonB at PartsRack. :2tu: :usa:

Gerald, have you found any pooled water in the engine bay?

Aside from the great line above...have you used an air compressor to blow moisture off of all the sensor connections and around the PCM?? Just a thought.
