I recently did something dumb to my Viper (dislodged the clutch safety switch) and could not get my car to start. Chuck told me to have it flatbedded to him. When I called the Dodge people (car is still under warranty) and they kept trying to steer me to my local dodge dealership, and told me if I had it shipped to Chuck they were going to have to charge me all kinds of money. I told Chuck this, and he said "dont worry about it". The next thing I know a flat bed shows up to my house, car is loaded and shipped off to Chuck. NO CHARGE.
Chuck finds fixes my problem in minutes. But while my car is there, I ask Chuck to put PS2's on my Viper and switch out the run craps. Even though Chuck has several cars at his shop, he does not hesitate to accomodate me. The PS2's take a few days to arrive. When they do arrive, Chuck has them mounted and the tire pressure sensor reset so I will have no problems. And guess what...NO CHARGE for fixing my clutch safety switch. Chuck found a buyer for my run craps, so I ended up owing Chuck about $150.00 or so for mounting the tires. He said "I will bill you later, take your Viper home and enjoy!" And of course, he called me the next day to make sure I was satisfied w/ everything. He does this everytime he works on my car.
I have been in business for about 20 years....and I have not seen this kind of customer service and professionalism anywhere, ever. Chuck Tator is hands down the best...and sadly, the last of a dying breed of top quality businessmen, and the last of the top quality type of people that made the U.S. the best county to live in and to DRIVE VIPERS IN!
