I recently did something dumb to my Viper (dislodged the clutch safety switch) and could not get my car to start. Chuck told me to have it flatbedded to him. When I called the Dodge people (car is still under warranty) and they kept trying to steer me to my local dodge dealership, and told me if I had it shipped to Chuck they were going to have to charge me all kinds of money. I told Chuck this, and he said "dont worry about it". The next thing I know a flat bed shows up to my house, car is loaded and shipped off to Chuck. NO CHARGE.
Chuck finds fixes my problem in minutes. But while my car is there, I ask Chuck to put PS2's on my Viper and switch out the run craps. Even though Chuck has several cars at his shop, he does not hesitate to accomodate me. The PS2's take a few days to arrive. When they do arrive, Chuck has them mounted and the tire pressure sensor reset so I will have no problems. And guess what...NO CHARGE for fixing my clutch safety switch. Chuck found a buyer for my run craps, so I ended up owing Chuck about $150.00 or so for mounting the tires. He said "I will bill you later, take your Viper home and enjoy!" And of course, he called me the next day to make sure I was satisfied w/ everything. He does this everytime he works on my car.
I have been in business for about 20 years....and I have not seen this kind of customer service and professionalism anywhere, ever. Chuck Tator is hands down the best...and sadly, the last of a dying breed of top quality businessmen, and the last of the top quality type of people that made the U.S. the best county to live in and to DRIVE VIPERS IN!

You are exactly right people like Chuck Tator and his dealership are simply a rare breed and always have been. Guys like Tator make owning a Viper just an amazing experience between Dodge factory backed invitationals and 600 HP handbuilt cars and wonderful service from Tator's Dodge it simply can't get any better than what you have up there.

In Las Vegas we have the exact opposite where the Dodge dealerships( and all the dealerships for that matter) need not worry about developing long term relationships due to the 7000 new residents who move here each month providing them with a fertile new crop of customers. It would never even enter my mind to try to buy a new Viper locally? In regard to service I do it myself or retain a really great local Viper tech to come out to my shop after hours.

I agree about Chuck being a dying breed. I am a new 06' SRT-10 owner and have called him with questions about the Viper on numerous occassions. He never hesistates to answer my questions and is very pleasant. Can't wait to have my exhaust done by Mr. Tator after break in period. :2tu:

Have to add our .02 cents here as well---Chuck is THE Viper Wizard :2tu: , and the most down-to-earth guy to talk to, we've talked to him NUMEROUS times, and he's ALWAYS taken the time to be extremely helpful, honest and humble. It is an extreme pleasure to have Chuck in our region :D :headbang: ...we refer aLOT of people who have questions about Vipers to Chuck...he's "THE MAN"~! ~mike & juli~

I agree with everything stated above and then some.... He just did an exhaust, Vec 3, and filters, and he replaced any missing rocker panel bolts, AND, he even re-torqued the loose bolts on the crank pulley.... he is an outstanding gentleman and doing business with him is by far the best.. he doesnt hesitate to help with ANYTHING and never has that "too good to help you, I am important" attitude like OTHERS do. Thaks Chuck and keep on keepin on!!!!

Chuck Tator is Number 1. I called him the other day about shocks and he spent all the time I needed to answer my questions.

Thanks again Chuck,

Robbie
