Clutch cone height adjustment

Well my last clutch made it 53,000 miles, 112 bottles of nitrous.....but it's time for a replacement OEM...
I want to get flywheel re-surfaced but heard you need to
"adjust cone height"......Can someone give me specifics?????????

I'm just speculating but I would imagine since the clutch isn't adjustable that the relationship between the slave cylinder and the clutch might cause you not to have enough stroke to dis-engage the clutch properly if you machined the flywheel.

If you have a McLeod, TNT, etc. the flywheels are made so you just have the insert replaced with a new one. Much less $$ than an entire new flywheel.

I believe if you have a McLeod unit you send it to them overnight mail and they replace it right away.

The ones sold by Sean Roe and the one made by TNT do not require you to send it in as you can replace the insert yourself.

As a note since it's out: the flywheels I have seen are well balanced, but the pressure plates are not. Worth the time low cost to have the pressure plate and flywheel balanced as a unit.
