What does code G stand for in the build process?

I was told by the dealer a couple weeks ago my 14 was in trim. I ordered a GTS with the SRT hood and stripes. I emailed Prefix and asked if they had any pictures of the stripes on the SRT hood. I was told they have not yet painted any as of yet and it would be later this week or next before they started. Is it possible the car is close and just waiting for the hood? I would think the car would be painted entirely at the same time.

Thoughts?

Your dealer is correct - "G" stands for trim. The car (chassis/gearing/etc...) is assembled to your specs and is literally in "trim". Your new GenV exists and will possibly be finished by month end.

- BUT

It will have to pass final inspection before going to a "K" status (ready to ship). For what it's worth I'm also one of the guys that ordered a '13 as a VCA Venom member ... only to cancel their order due to the myriad of reasons (VCA/SRT) posted throughout these forums.

Congrats on hanging in there for your new ride!
