Vegas is awesome, had a great time out there a few years ago. A friend of mine went there a couple of months ago, I gave him $100 and told him to see what he could do for me. Comes back a week later and I asked him how I did..........................he said you did pretty good, you got laid!! :rolaugh::omg:

The Carroll Shelby Museum is right off the highway next to LVMS (Las Vegas Motor Speedway), and tours are conducted only at 10:30am. Monday through Saturday. Their phone number is 702.942.REAL (7325). Nellis AFB is right across the street, and you can check out the Air Force Thunderbirds museum (if you still have an ID card). If you want to get out of the city, Red Rock Canyon and the Valley of Fire are worth the drive...even if you're not in a Viper. If you've never had In-n-Out Burger, you've got to try it at least once (but beware, you'll find yourself wanting to go back to Vegas just to get more In-n-Out). The Imperial Palace has a car museum upstairs, and if you go to the concierge desk they usually give you free tickets...even if you're not staying there. Treasure Island has the "Sirens of TI" each night and it's pretty good if you get there early enough to get a spot up front. Also, the fountains at the Belagio are worth seeing. They will spend a good 40 hours programming the water cannons to dance with the music, and it's free too. I was stationed there for 3 1/2 years, and without a doubt, the best part of Vegas was the Viper Club. I love and miss them all dearly, and it's hard to find a better group of guys.

If you gamble, set a limit because it's easy to get carried away. There was a show with one of the casino managers, and he said just look at it as entertainment. The house always wins, so don't spend any more than you can afford to lose. The Blue Man Group at the Venetian was really good if you're into music, and you might even get discounted tickets on base. http://militarydiscountfinder.com/nellis-afb-itt-62.html

Get a vodka cocktail at the Red Square in Mandalay Bay if you're drinker, the House of Blues has some good bands once in awhile. Santana may still be at the hard Rock, steal some naughty cards from the Hispanics on the Strip and hand them out yourself. Go to the mall at the back of Caesers and Pete Rose is at the sports shop there a couple of times a week.

Shelby museum sounds pretty awesome. I didn't realize it was close!

The Baja racers are those sand fine trucks. They have some offroaded tracks you can do anywhere from like 10-50 miles.

And I'm staying in Mandalay bay. Will def try that vodka cocktail!

Thanks for all of the responses. Should be a fun week. Hopefully I don't lose my ass lol. Girl might not be happy.... She'll still have a viper to climb into when we get back tho...

My fiance and I are here right now at THE Hotel celebrating my birthday today. Here for 3 more days. I highly recommend going to the Fremont area for less crowd and more fun. Also check out the speedway. No racing now but they have the exotic cars to drive and possibly the Petty experience still which is a blast.

Go to groupon or living social to find some cool stuff to do for a good price. I would also try the Minus 5 bar in your hotel for a drink

I just got back from Vegas but i went to see the Monster Truck thing... which was awesome.... I didn't really enjoy all the crowds, **** pamphlet idiots, etc...... TOSH was there but sold out.... I think Vegas is probably a great place for a few single dudes to act like assholes and pay to see or get some ass..... We stayed at the Paris hotel and could not get into the Gordan Ramsey steak place.... didn't matter since i didn't take any decent clothes anyway.... Lots of March Madness crowds...

i think shooting an automatic rifle would be fun or that desert/baja buggy thing.....

In Vegas See a Cirque show.... Mystere, Zumanity, Ka, O, Chris Angell seen all of them and would see em all again, and drive through Red Rock Canyon. You can eat or drink anywhere in the world but you won't see those anywhere else. Got time? drive to Death Valley, Zion. Bryce Canyon, A day each is all you need. Blue Man Group is good too if they're out there still. There were some rides on top of a tall building you can go on that were fun. Check out the lobbies of the major casinos. Water show at the Bellagio

Welllll hitting day 3 right now, we've been all over living social and groupon and restaurant.com and have found a lot of pay 50 for 100 type stuff. Found a groupon for an indoor racing thing that was a lot of fun to do, they give you print outs of your lap times and speed and stuff and was a nice activity away from gambling, right behind aria... Went to a very cool place to eat last night called capos. It was all Mob themed, you enter thru a dark alley false wall door and the menu is all themed... Racketeering ravioli and such.. Live frank Sinatra music and the food was great. Also did shark museum and the score place which was cool. Going to the Shelby museum today and were going to go to the csi place and to the Mob exhibit. We have tickets for KA right now, carrot top is out of town, and we still have a lot of hotels to see.

We got to see something you not see every day too, driving back from something we saw a guy running after a car followed by I guess his buddies in their car. The New Jersey plated Lexus turned into a dead end and they started beating the **** out of the car lol. I mean that first dude prob broke his hand on the window and his buddies kicked the **** out of all the panels ahahhahahahahahaha. I guess it was maybe a hit and run or just a good ole mugging gone bad ?

You'll enjoy KA. We've seen a lot of the Cirque shows in Vegas...just saw Mystere in December...the worst Cirque show we've been to...period. You can ride the mechanical bull at PBR Rock Bar & Grill...

The indoor kart place you went to is decent. Dunno about other places, but there the key is to keep the kart floored and just use the brakes. There's another indoor kart place just west of the Palms...haven't been but it's supposed to be good. Karts there are electric.

Too funny about Capo's we used to watch the Bears games there every week a couple of seasons ago. The owners are from Chicago. If you want good Italian food near the strip, go to Nora's - they're in a strip mall on the NE corner of Flamingo and Jones; great food, great prices.

Ka's a good show, but I enjoyed O and Mystere more. I'm not a Beatles fan at all (Megadeth is more my style) but I enjoyed the hell out of that show. The acrobatics aren't as good as other Cirque shows but it's still worth the price of admission.

If you're looking for a great comedy show, check out George Wallace's show...I think he's at the Flamingo.

Want a great view of the LV valley? Go to the top of the Stratosphere. The restaurant up there is pricy but good; it rotates so you'll make a lap or two during dinner. Feeling cheap? Just go up to the lounge or the observation deck and ride the rides.

Want to ride a zip line? Go downtown - they got one on Fremont that's pretty cool...about the only thing worth going downtown for.

Otherwise, it just depends on the kind of stuff you want to do. There's indoor skydiving, a shload of nightclubs, tons of hotels to see, numerous strip clubs, tourist stuff like Hoover Dam, unknown nature stuff like Red Rock Canyon or Mt. Charleston...all kinds of stuff to keep you entertained here, plus you can always spend your time gambling. The owners of those big pretty buildings along the strip like it when you do that.
