Welllll hitting day 3 right now, we've been all over living social and groupon and restaurant.com and have found a lot of pay 50 for 100 type stuff. Found a groupon for an indoor racing thing that was a lot of fun to do, they give you print outs of your lap times and speed and stuff and was a nice activity away from gambling, right behind aria... Went to a very cool place to eat last night called capos. It was all Mob themed, you enter thru a dark alley false wall door and the menu is all themed... Racketeering ravioli and such.. Live frank Sinatra music and the food was great. Also did shark museum and the score place which was cool. Going to the Shelby museum today and were going to go to the csi place and to the Mob exhibit. We have tickets for KA right now, carrot top is out of town, and we still have a lot of hotels to see.
We got to see something you not see every day too, driving back from something we saw a guy running after a car followed by I guess his buddies in their car. The New Jersey plated Lexus turned into a dead end and they started beating the **** out of the car lol. I mean that first dude prob broke his hand on the window and his buddies kicked the **** out of all the panels ahahhahahahahahaha. I guess it was maybe a hit and run or just a good ole mugging gone bad ?
The indoor kart place you went to is decent. Dunno about other places, but there the key is to keep the kart floored and just use the brakes. There's another indoor kart place just west of the Palms...haven't been but it's supposed to be good. Karts there are electric.
Too funny about Capo's we used to watch the Bears games there every week a couple of seasons ago. The owners are from Chicago. If you want good Italian food near the strip, go to Nora's - they're in a strip mall on the NE corner of Flamingo and Jones; great food, great prices.
Ka's a good show, but I enjoyed O and Mystere more. I'm not a Beatles fan at all (Megadeth is more my style) but I enjoyed the hell out of that show. The acrobatics aren't as good as other Cirque shows but it's still worth the price of admission.
If you're looking for a great comedy show, check out George Wallace's show...I think he's at the Flamingo.
Want a great view of the LV valley? Go to the top of the Stratosphere. The restaurant up there is pricy but good; it rotates so you'll make a lap or two during dinner. Feeling cheap? Just go up to the lounge or the observation deck and ride the rides.
Want to ride a zip line? Go downtown - they got one on Fremont that's pretty cool...about the only thing worth going downtown for.
Otherwise, it just depends on the kind of stuff you want to do. There's indoor skydiving, a shload of nightclubs, tons of hotels to see, numerous strip clubs, tourist stuff like Hoover Dam, unknown nature stuff like Red Rock Canyon or Mt. Charleston...all kinds of stuff to keep you entertained here, plus you can always spend your time gambling. The owners of those big pretty buildings along the strip like it when you do that.
