I'm giving serious consideration to getting everything in the exhaust system upgraded, including high-flow cats, headers, etc., and would like to see some commentary on (1) every component I should get (including the benefits associated with each individual component), (2) which manufacturers' components for each would be best (provide most hp, best sound, reliability, and any other benefits), and (3) where the best prices are for each of these components.

WOW, you have few answers because that is an EPISTLE you are asking! I welcome your inquiry, but dont have typing time right now. Plz call me! The sound and HP and fittment is different. You should care which one you buy. Our (low) profit is about the same, so I dont care WHICH one you buy! PartsRack carries: (alpha)

Belanger, Borla, Corsa, Hennessey, Mopar, SnakeOyl.
We also have some nice USED stuff...some barely used.
(ie 1 complete cat-back Corsa $699! 1 at $749 )

THANKS !

Steve,

APEX Motorsports in Santa Clara, CA has their "Snake Box" which is supposed to eliminate the check engine light problem. Give Wayne a call, they advertise on the board.

Bill/APEX has a product that will NOT eliminate the lite for the question that was asked by Steve/Charmed. It will NOT work for 00-01 headers. It is a catless-fix only, NOT header related.

The Belanger/PartsRack fix is to use headers that have been properly installed w/ the "SweetSpot O-2" placement. Belanger experimented with numerous 00 and 01 Vipers since March, and can now 'spot' the O-2 for a claimed long-term fix on '01 Viper headers. We have several customers with good short-term (so far) results.

PartsRack is interested in any "customer feedback" on the APEX box. {an O-2 sim product} I have seen nothing...positive or negative. {Bill's rep is good enuf for me, but end-user feedback is always appreciated by our potential buyers. Thanks)

I have put the 02 sensors in the Belanger recommended place. Heater codes gone. Cat codes still in memory. Light was set for about 1300 miles after 02 relocation.(the exhaust system had been on for about 4000 miles prior to moving the bungs) The light went out last week on it's own. Diagnosis shows everything within accepted parameters for all measurements. Evidently the computer has accepted the new info from the new 02 sensor location.

I spoke with wayne about this several weeks ago and would also
like to hear more customer feed back, after the mopar performance
pcm fiasco, I didn't want to be the first to try this.

Jon B how much for a set of them Belanger "sweet spot" headers?
And do you think they can be installed by a "do it yourselfer"
I do have a KwiK Lift, so access is ok.

Regards,

Steve

Give me a call. No ONE and I repeat NO one will beat my prices on Belangers Headers and exhaust. I am the original Belangers Dealer and stock both the pre 00' header and the new header with relocated 02 bungs. I still find it amazing as I can remember back when others said "a brand x header will make 25 more hp than your Belangers"..........hehehheeeeeeeeeeeee now they are a Belanger dealer. Its amazing how people represent products that they DO NOT USE and INSTALL themselves.

On another note, use the formula of dollars spent divided by horsepower gained = horsepower per dollar. You will sleep good at nite with what you find.
