I agree, I just added the MGW lid on my car a couple weeks back and love it.

It DOES his your elbow slightly while shifting though ---

The leading manufacturer of cupholders successfully lobbied the government for mandatory cupholders in all vehicles in 2014. The justification was that 37 children each year are injured because motorists attentions were diverted when looking for a place to stow their beverage.

Save the children! The children they are our future. Get a cupholder now! The children. Children.

I have the MGW Door and holder in my car, but it weighs a Ton, if you leave the lid down for prolonged periods it makes a dent in the center console!

But being British, we do like a cup of Tea first thing in the morning :D The rear wing also makes a very good table for cake and sandwiches, (NOT FOR USE AT HIGH SPEEDS) :D

one of my viper mates uses one of those hiking drinking bags which attaches to the back of the drivers seat, it looks a bit more racey than cup holder

I have the MGW door thingy but it's a pain to reach. I just drink bottled water or unsweetened iced tea and throw the bottle on the passenger seat with the lid tight.

I adore a cup holder topic! Here's a facsimile of the 'clutter catcher' I plop in my passenger seat and currently it holds a lot of stuff . . . wallet, cell phone, giant Tervis Tumbler (2 if needed), pens, paper, hair brush, toothpicks, gum, Life Savers, Wendy's napkins, useless VCA raffle tix . . . . . :rolaugh:When the wife tags along, it fits neatly on the floor.

When did cup holders start to take over cars? There was a time when no cup holder was normal, now if you don't have 15 something is wrong.

These are a great invention if you think about it.
No need to remove your drink from them... just roll 'em around to get the right angle to take a drink. :D
