I am looking to buy a 2001 Viper RT/10 in December. Don't think I will get the 0% financing since its not offered on the Viper. But what is the going rate for new Vipers?

One guy said he bought his 2001 Rt/10 for $1000 below dealer invoice (invoice from KBB.com).

Is this possible? or Is this even reasonable? Anyone buy a new Viper recently and could tell me what they paid.
Thanks All !

I bought a '01 GTS about 3 weeks ago. The 0% financing is not available. I paid $73K out the door against a sticker price of $76K. I do not know if this was a very good deal or not. Somehow, expecting to get a new Viper AND a good deal never seemed like a serious consideration. All things considered, the RT should be a little cheaper, but I don't know by how much.

P.S. If I significantly overpaid after a week of negotiating, do me a favor and don't tell me (or at least not my wife .....)

Viperman1,

I say talk to woodhouse. I am in a similar boat and have talked extensively with Bill Pemberton(800.889.1893), and I only have good things to say. Give him a call, just do not buy the Saphire GTS before I do....

The rest of you -- I've already bought two Vipers from Bill Pemberton @ Woodhouse, and when it's time to buy #3, I'm only going to make one call. Give him a call (800-889-1893) and you'll wonder why you ever bothered talking to anyone else.

am I the only one who paid sales tax and luxury tax, gas guzzler tax on my new viper?? that added about 20K to the price and pushed it over 100K, with hardtop and the usual stuff.

Remster. You're joking right?Gas guzzler and luxury are built in.Viperman1:Invoice on an 01 rt is 64.Invoice on an 01 gt is 68.I paid 69 for my gt.The 02 are out now.If you are buying an 01 I would pay dealer invoice minus, but no more than invoice.Do your homework.Be strong enough to walk away and let some other sucker buy it if a dealer won't deal.Remember its a car you don't need. The dealer needs you.
