It looks too homemade to me.
Can't go wrong using the factory ACR width.

It is a work in progress. Here is another angle. He may go wider, thanks for the suggestions.

This is a good joke. :D
You said here is another angle but it's just a close up to show the duct tape.
You should have waited until April 1st though ... that would've been great. :)
Gotta love it!

I used different siz and color masking tape. You can find very wide masking tape in different colors on eBay. It works very well. Much easier to put on and off than duct tape and leaves little if any residue. Have you friend look on eBay for masking tape colors and sizes.

I vote for some blue painters tape to make it "pop"

Why would this owner want to have it easy to come off? It needs to stick well and also be weather resistant. We may add some color.

I think you are onto something here: baller mods for less than a dollar! Put the other $2999 you would have paid for stripes toward making the car faster.... :2tu:

like the others said, needs to be wider, however if you like it that is all that matters.

Because duct tape does not come off easy and I assumed the owner was just doing this to see what it would look like. What the hell do I care... Leave the stupid duct tape on...

Factory width stripe would look better ...... that looks more like a pin stripe than a driver's side stripe too me, but as others have said 'if the owner likes it' call er'done.

IMO a solid car with single drivers stripe looks weak and too plain.

Why would you do something weak looking like :

When you could do something bad@ss like :

or just go with the ACR-X scheme:

If that mockup really is duct tape i would remove it asap and hope it dosnt screw up the clearcoat.

Let us know what you end up with

This is actually one of my favorite looks for the ACR. I'd have traded in my '06 coupe on this exact car, had the trade value been better.

Almost bought one of these a few summers back before my wife decided to steal the green ACR. She was going to get the custom Texas T plate: T ampon.

If anyone wants some wider stripes, or maybe dual stripes, I might have enough material left. It is made in the USA. Good stuff.
